Have you ever fell in love with a place so deeply it pains you to leave? That's my Grandparent's farm for me. For my family, for those familiar with this amazing place, we call it, The Farm.

Our family having moved into a home when I was born, we lived a mere 5 minute drive from The Farm. Our town was not called a town, in fact it was considered a Village and it consisted of 560 people. Everyone knew everyone and everything. It was not unusual for us to ride the bus to our Grandparent's house after school even though my house was only half a block from school. However my Mother, a single Mother at the time, worked until evening rendering us unsupervised which would never work leaving 6 rambunctious children at home, alone. Oh the trouble!!

From the time I was born until adulthood, this was a sanctuary for me from the chaos of everything surrounding me. Though I am far in distance, the feeling of arriving back on the grounds of The Farm is so calming. I can let go, I can dream, I can be only who I want to be!

I have built a relationship with my Grandparent's that I will forever cherish. My Grandfather taught me to be brave, to appreciate times I did not exist yet, to be content. My Grandmother taught me to be kind, to encourage others, to love life. They are genuinely some of the absolute greatest people this world could have!

As a child growing up in such a free and wild environment, it instilled a passion in me for all things nature, natural, and botanical! My Grandparent's may not ever know how much they mean to me and how the home and lifestyle they've created shaped me to be who I am today but it doesn't matter. What brings me the most joy is seeing my own children with my Grandmother and how she can see everything she and my Grandfather ever taught me in them! For that, I am a proud Mother and Granddaughter.
