From "Scratch" Chocolate Bars

Decadent and rich chocolate bars from scratch are perfect for pairing with tea or coffee, eating as desert, and even using on charcuterie boards as a sweet treat or decoration. Chocolate bars are incredibly easy to make from scratch and with the numerous silicone molds available, the options for different styles and shapes of tasty little homemade chocolates are endless!

Hazelnut Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 1 C dark chocolate chunks

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • dried fruits, nuts, seed, or flowers {optional}

How to:

Begin by melting your chocolate with the coconut oil using either a glass measuring cup in the microwave or a glass bowl over a pot of water, acting as a double boiler.

Choose your mold:

We've all seen those silicone molds at the craft store. The options are truly limitless! Choose your favorite or favorites before hand and select one for this recipe. Place your mold on a plate or a cutting board to make transferring into the refrigerator easy.

Final steps:

Taking your melted chocolate mix, pour into your mold carefully. Fill each one to the top to keep the size consistent. After you've filled your mold, place them into the refrigerator to cool for 1-2 hours. When completely cooled, remove from the molds. Store in an airtight container in your refrigerator. Grab one any time you'd like or use them on your snack trays at parties.
